Mr. DeGuarda will reminisce about the 1939-1940 International Exposition held in San Francisco on Treasure Island
at which an 80 foot statue of Pacifica welcomed visitors. An 8 foot replica of the statue was donated by Mr. DeGuarda to the City of Pacifica to be placed in the museum when completed. All members and the public are invited to this informative meeting which will explain how the Pacifica statue came to be the symbol of our city. Light refreshments will be served.
